The chart is a comparison of DYS numbers on participants in the Eustace Families Association (EFA) DNA project from the counties of Louth and Wexford, Ireland and Newfoundland, Canada who are close or identical matches using a 16 marker test from GFI Labs Inc. The GFI readings are those that begin with EY; for example EY88. Members of this group have known origins in Ireland. EY88 (213529) is a descendant of Peter Eustace (1854-1920) who was the son of James Eustace, a plasterer and Mary Dunn of Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. He married Anne Downes, daughter of Richard Downes, a painter, on September 27, 1874 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Drogheda.  The County Wexford individuals are descendants of John Eustace (c. 1845-1904) and Bridget Shannon. John Eustace  was a National School Teacher at Raheenvarren, County Wexford. Members of the Louth and Wexford Eustace families are identical or very close matches with descendants of James Eustace and Grace Cox of Irish ancestry who were married in Torbay, Newfoundland in 1777. These numbers are compared with results from Family Tree DNA which are shown as numbers only; i.e; 213529.  Thus EY88 is the same person as 213529 and EY141 is the same person as 213530, the difference being that the Family Tree DNA test uses 67 markers while GFI uses 16. Both companies use the same markers on 15 alleles. These individuals are (or will be) plotted on a total of 69 DYS markers when combining GFI Inc. and Family Tree DNA results. Many members of the group also match the Y-chromosome DNA profile of descendants of Niall of the Nine Hostages on 24 markers.
